Jason Sudeikis is the real deal. After my dad died he sent me an incredibly long, touching email that I haven’t shared and won’t. But he didn’t have to do that. We aren’t “friends” beyond having a nice professional relationship. But he said things in there I’ve never forgotten.
I don’t care what Cruz said at CPAC, but I do care that it appears Texas was just a layover stop for him between Cancun and Orlando to drop a pack of water into someone’s trunk and abandon his constituents again as they get slammed with $16,000 electrical bills.
If WANDAVISION's "what is grief, if not love persevering" line left a mark on you, I'd suggest diving next into THE LEFTOVERS on HBO. A gorgeously existential (and very prescient) exploration of how profoundly grief can break a human soul and what might be needed to help it heal.
