Four former aides of Attorney General Ken Paxton claim they were illegally fired for reporting alleged criminal behavior on his part.
But Paxton’s agency argues that he is exempt from state whistleblower protection laws because he's an elected official.
Ted Cruz and John Cornyn will both attend President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration next week.
This comes after Cruz led a fight to overturn the 2020 presidential election results. Cruz has continued to cast doubts on the legitimacy of the election.
