Little noticed but super important provision of the #AmericanRescuePlan:
It dramatically lowers premiums for ACA health plans. Caps premiums at 8% of income, no premiums for anyone 150% of poverty or below.
That's HUGE. And so important in the middle of the pandemic.
NEW: 2.9 million vaccines reported administered today, 20% above the last record.
Gratitude for all the vaccinators, volunteers, doctors, pharmacists, couriers, manufacturers, civil servants, and soldiers who are working together on this effort.

It is the quiet guys you always want to stop & listen to. I've learned a lot in my career from Mike Donilon. It's an honor to be around him because he is such an honorable guy in a business of vultures. Smart, dedicated and thoughtful. Rare combination.
Anyone wondering who best captures the heart, soul, empathy of @POTUS and who does so with a level of humility that is incredibly rare in this business should read this profile of Mike Donilon (who is definitely not on Twitter)
The President believes it is critical to extend expanded unemployment benefits through the end of September to help Americans who are struggling, as the President proposed in the American Rescue Plan.
The compromise amendment achieves that while helping to address the surprise tax bills that many are facing by eliminating the first $10,200 of UI benefits from taxation for 2020. Combined, this amendment would provide more relief to the unemployed than the current legislation.
Tim Kaine has been a leader on questions of war powers throughout his time in the Senate and has helped build a strong bipartisan coalition that understands the importance of Congress’s constitutional prerogatives.
We are committed to working with Congress to ensure that the authorizations for the use of military force currently on the books are replaced with a narrow and specific framework that will ensure we can protect Americans from terrorist threats while ending the forever wars.

We are closely tracking Microsoft’s emergency patch for previously unknown vulnerabilities in Exchange Server software and reports of potential compromises of U.S. think tanks and defense industrial base entities. We encourage network owners to patch ASAP:

50 million shots in the past 37 days -- no other country has done it.
There are about 55m Americans who are over 65:
-- Six weeks ago, only 8% had gotten a shot
-- Today, almost 50% have gotten at least one shot
Long way to go, but what a change these past weeks!
