@yodelingfish @OI_Glass Strauss Family creamery still produces all of their milk products in glass, you can even get a milkman to deliver it in Northern California. Unfortunately they use plastic for yogurt and sour cream.

Most all glass was recycled because there was a monetary value placed on it and deposits were collected and paid in grocery stores.
@OI_Glass Yes, I wish milk came in glass again. Also, mayo, peanut butter, etc. all came in glass when I was growing up. Food tasted much better. Plus, those glass jars with standard lid sizes are pure gold if you can preserves & pickles.
