@BobbyScott The minimum wage hasn't been raised since Pres. Clinton. And the cost of living esp. rent is still skyrocketing. So it's unacceptable that Congress wants Americans to wait another 4-5 years for a living wage. The Democrats need to help Americans & #RaiseTheWage in 2021 or 2022.
House dems expect struggling businesses owners to pay out more money. Anyone else notice how wages have increased independent of a federal guideline? This will hurt small businesses as well as the workers. Cut hours, limited staff hired, etc. #RaiseTheWage
This #RaiseTheWage Act does little to help non-federal employees.
The #Democrats in #Congress would be better served by doing more to fund social services and enshrine pro-labor legislation.
The minimum wage has been stuck at $7.25/hr for over a decade. It's a poverty wage. The time for a $15/hr floor for every worker is NOW. Tell your legislators to #RaiseTheWage:
