I have a weird pain issue with my feet. I’ve been noticing it since early elementary school. But because I can’t describe it without wanting to sob, I’ve never gotten help for it. I always wonder if it’ll lead to me being in a wheelchair one day 👩🏾‍🦽 #DisabilityHasNoAgeRequirement

The fact that I am 25 and the majority of my chronic health issues STARTED during childhood and escalated in adolescence and rarlg adulthood and now I have even more related conditions. The fact I have left jobs due to my health deteriorating

My pain isn’t taken seriously by most doctors because they say I’m “too young” to be going through that #DisabilityHasNoAgeRequirement

I've been disabled for as long as I can remember since doctors don't actually know when my brain injury happened.

It doesn't make sense how society pushes this image of disability exclusively associated with old age.

I’m ‘too young’ to use the disabled parking spots.
‘Too young’ to have pain in my joints.
‘Too young’ to call myself disabled.

These are things I’ve heard from family, friends, strangers. #DisabilityHasNoAgeRequirement

i've been trying to get help with the pain of partially dislocating joints since i was a kid. but teachers/parents/etc always told me it was "growing pains" and that i was "too young to be in pain"

guess who has to get an EDS evaluation now?

I started showing symptoms at 5 years old. At 23 I have 6 diagnosed conditions. #DisabilityHasNoAgeRequirement

I now get Remicade infusions every 6 weeks to help keep my UC in remission and manage my chronic pain. Some infusions take better than others. I still have pain but it is slightly more manageable. My UC is controlled with many medications.
